RUNNING IN SNEAKERS

You succumb to your feet and your supposed third eye
Merely because your happily-ever after is nowhere in sight
So let my drool flow endlessly from my mouth
And let go of that familiar stench you used to inhaling
You tweaked and crumpled the letters of my cereal
Purely because the victim would be treated with a plastic crown
So let my aura blacken your home
And let go of that burnt paper that represented your worth

Unbelievable to think that jealousy can still overpower the game
A far cry from the homosexual ugly-ducking you instilled in thy writer
Jaded to theorized that nostalgia is the key to clarity
How deluded and conceited you are to think
That the brown butter would melt that fast

I am amazed that being a wannabe-actress
Can actually win some attention
A bow so low it is hurting my throat
Not disappointed to realize that I didn’t think of it first
How much injustice are you willing to spread out this lifetime?

Tonight, my treadmill has been shattered by your wake-up call

And laughing at how the puzzle has been wrongly put together
9 silly little clicks from my worn-out sneakers
Can assure me of something spectacular
No more saying my name in the third-person category
And no more identifying what is right and what has been bought
